57th International Meat Industry Counseling

 

 

 

 

Organized by the Institute of Meat Hygiene and Technology, from June 10 to June 12, 2013, the 57th International Conference of the Meat Industry was held. The topic of the consultation was MEAT AND MEAT PRODUCTS - SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION PERSPECTIVES. The event, which was attended by 150 researchers from eight European countries and Serbia, was opened by the director of the Institute, Dr. Vesna Matekalo-Sverak. He addressed the present participants with an appropriate welcome speech by prof. Dr. Ivica Radović, Assistant Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development. The participants were also greeted by Dr. Dejan Krnjajić, State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry and Dr. Drago Nedić, Director of the Institute "Dr. Vaso Butozan" from Banja Luka. The work of the Conference took place within four thematic sessions at which 23 plenary lectures were presented, the relevance and originality of which were confirmed by numerous and useful discussions of the present researchers. Within the poster section, 37 papers were exhibited, and all plenary lectures and original papers presented within the poster sections were printed in the Proceedings of the Conference on Memory Stick. Based on the comments of participants and anonymous surveys, as well as on the analysis of exhibited works given by the Scientific Committee, it can be concluded that all answers to the tasks were given and that the quality of the Conference fully justified the expectations of the organizers. and all plenary lectures and original papers presented in the poster sections were printed in the Proceedings of the Conference on Memory Stick.
